Cyprus is now working on a Plan B after Parliament rejects initial Eurozone plan

Statement by Cyprus Government Spokesman, Mr Christos Stylianides (March 20, 2013)

A team of experts has been transported to the Central Bank to discuss a plan B Government Spokesman Mr Christos Stylianides said today.

Following a two-hour meeting between the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, and the leaders of the political parties, at the Presidential Palace, the Government Spokesman said that "A team of experts from each political party has been transported to the Central Bank to discuss a plan B which is related to the financing and the reduction of the amount of 5,8 billion euro. They have now gone to the Central Bank to explore this possibility and for the technocrats of the parties to get to know what exactly this plan is all about."
